LaPowerFM 105.3

Again, I submit the information posted on FCC.gov which clearly states you can begin translating a station immediately and simply have to mail in a notice. The FCC later reviews it...
That rule assumes that the re-transmitted station is eligible. In this case, it is not.

LOL, we'll just see what happens. Posting on the forums about their rule breakage ain't gonna get us very far unless the big boys like IHeartMedia are reading.

If not even the Spanish language broadcasters are concerned with these stations, iHeart is not going to spend money proving they are over-powered and not in compliance with the rules. That is exactly what these scofflaws count on.

In any event, another notice will be mailed to the FCC n a couple weeks. LAPowerFM is adding two more simulcasts.
The submission to the FCC assumes all other requirements are met. They are not.

Saludos David. I sent you a private message which you have apparently decided not to answer. Your use of the term these scofflaws implicitly attempts to associate 105.3 and 92.5 with all the other translators in Houston. There are several that have been originating programming for years, overpowered, wrong antennas and wrong locations. It's no secret. We all know who is responsible These shenanigans have resulted in a situation where the big broadcasters absolutely refuse to lease their HD subchannels to anyone wanting to offer Spanish programming. Understand that 92.5 and 105.3 have changed owners. Antennas have been changed and sites moved to their proper locations. As soon as a closer HD channel can be found, the FCC will be notified. With that said, I withdraw for the night.

Refuse? I’m pretty sure these big broadcasters could care less what the tenants program.
It’s like you would say a land lord would not lease there restaurant building for a Taqueria. But they would lease it for a steak house.

David, Omar says hello...

I don’t see where the FCC gives a green light to feeding your translator from a smartphone music library or even a computer rather than another broadcast station. That is the repeated illegal activity occurring in Houston.

Mean while LA CALLE is still on 880 AM and 102.5 FM and on the Latino BC app.

La Mejor is still on the Latino BC app but not streaming anything.

RUMBA is still on the PLATINOMAX app and so is LA CALIENTE.

That's the good "pastor" Hector Guevara and his brothers. They love playing musical chairs.

Old school, posts 118 & 119 seem to have vanished. The situation with Hector is all public information and anyone can watch the court zoom hearings. There's another one tomorrow morning. Join our Cloud HD Video MeetingView attachment 1556
Posts were removed because they could be libelous. We don't want to get sued and we don't want our members to get sued. Please be cautious when you post accusations. This is especially true when posting before the courts have ruled.
Thanks for your understanding.

From my understanding Hum FM is owned and operated by Rehan Sidiqqi, a programmer who purchases time on stations. He has leased stations in the past in Dallas and Houston and attempted the purchase of a Houston signal.

Any association Rehan might have with a broadcaster in Houston would be as a client. The same goes in the Austin market. A programmer can lease whatever they want. It is the responsibility of the licensee to assure the arrangement is not in violation of FCC Rules and Regulations.

To put this in perspective, you can hire a cab to take you somewhere. It is not your responsibility to make sure the owner of the cab is adhering to all the rules required of the owner of the cab.

That translator in Austin's contact info reflects Dan Alpert - the same attorney that Centro Cristiano uses. I bet Guel, the Guevara's, or both, are involved...
