Lara Trump and the Facebook talk show

i wonder how much longer until we have our own country sponsored news network feeding nothing but propaganda, i guess this might be the start of the birth of a US propaganda channel.

Apparently this rumored network is also being mentioned again.

New York (CNN Business)President Trump, frustrated with news coverage as he faces an impeachment inquiry, suggested on Thursday the idea of starting a new television network.

The suggestion came after Trump attacked CNN, specifically CNN International, at a Medicare event in Florida. Trump said the news network is "so bad" and called it a "terrible thing for our country."
"We ought to start our own network and put some real news out there," Trump said.
Trump added, "We really are, we are looking at that. We should do something about it too. Put some really talented people and get a real voice out there, not a voice that's fake."

Despite Trump's comments, it was not clear whether the White House was seriously looking into launching a network.
A White House spokesperson did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
Trump has been railing against the media over its coverage of a deepening scandal that has prompted an impeachment inquiry and could ultimately imperil his presidency. On Thursday, Trump openly asked China and Ukraine to open investigations into former Vice President Joe Biden, a Democratic candidate for president.

Apparently this rumored network is also being mentioned again.

Technically speaking it would be against the law for the White House or the government to start its own domestic broadcast network. Its one of the reasons why there are so many intermediaries between government funding and public broadcasting or VOA. The federal government is prohibited from owning any domestic radio or TV stations. The founding fathers were very concerned about government-led propaganda.

It is interesting to me that he is the one who stopped the tradition of Saturday morning presidential addresses that was begun by Ronald Reagan. That was a way for him to say anything he wanted, completely unedited or unquestioned. He viewed it as a waste of time.

Once he leaves government, he can do what he wants with his own money. Al Gore was an investor in a cable network for a while. Barack Obama is doing his Netflix series.

President Trump really hates painted in a negative light. and with the impeachment inquiry on him and his regime, he knows the media is really gonna go hard on covering it and he's not happy bout it. that's all i'm gonna say without going to political.

In Previous posts on this topic I mentioned that the president hated Fox News for criticizing him over how his cabinet is handling allegations. Except Roger Ailes no longer runs Fox News (National edition) the current leaders of Fox News are Suzanne Scott and Lachlan Murdoch. They can do what ever they want with Fox News as long as the network is able to lower the median ages.
