Larry Bloomfield

It is with sadness that I inform everyone of the passing of Larry Bloomfield. Larry was an active member of the Society, and was a past educator of the year. Every year he tirelessly traveled around the country to SBE chapters with his Taste of NAB road show, giving members who would not otherwise be exposed to new products and technologies a look at them. He was a friend of SBE, often handing out membership applications at his road show, and encouraging non-members to join up.
He had a thirst for knowledge, and as we say in the business had been around enough to know broadcasting inside out. Our thoughts go out to his wife Carolee and sons Larry and Tom. Services will be held at the Burns Funeral Home, in Florence Or. on November 14, 2010

I'm very sorry to hear this. I've enjoyed attending his "Taste of NAB" road shows for several years. He will certainly be missed.

That piece written by Vinny Lopez of SBE Chapter 22. Thanks for giving him credit for it. ::)

Rest in peace Larry, you will be missed.

Yes, this truly is sad news...as a younger person, I respected Larry's knowledge and appreciated his desire to educate us. He was always fun to be around and will be GREATLY missed!
