Cumulus Media has found its successor for Doug Harvill, the company’s San Francisco VP/Market Manager and 46-year industry vet who announced his retirement earlier this month. Larry Blumhagen will take over the four-station cluster starting May 3. He joins Cumulus from Audacy (formerly Entercom) in Los Angeles, where he has worked as VP/Director of Sales since April 2015.
Moving north to California’s second largest market, Blumhagen will oversee classic rock “The Bone” KSAN (107.7), news/talk KGO (810), sports KNBR-AM & FM (680, 104.5) and news/talk “Hot Talk” KSFO (560).
It’s a return to the Bay Area for Blumhagen, who was General Sales Manager for CBS Radio San Francisco from 2006-2015. Before that he spent nine years as General Sales Manager for CBS Radio/Infinity Broadcasting in Portland, OR. Blumhagen started his career as an Account Executive for Henry Broadcasting/American Radio Systems.
