Does anyone know how I can find Larry Fiebig, who was the Station Engineer for WBLZ from about 1981 until 1988? Peter Eden, who was GM there at the time, has lost touch with him and wants to find him.
Tried the phone number listed above, got an answering machine. Left a polite message, have not gotten a return call. Larry was a blast to work with. He always thought he could fix a transmitter problem with a string of goofy jokes just as well as he could with a meter and a tool kit! Usually worked too! ;D
Larry was my uncle and i found this post just searching the internet he actually passed away about ten or so years ago it was very nice to see your good comments about him hed appreciate that im sure
Lawrence E. "Larry" Fiebig - passed away on January 29, 2004 at the age of 47. In addition to his work as a radio engineer in both Cincinnati and Cleveland, Larry was also an amateur radio operator with the call-sign N4DBR.
Crap-- I hate to hear that. Larry taught me how to calculate stl paths, we wired studios together (I mostly watched) and had some great times talking in (really bad) French. Adieu my friend. I'm so sorry I lost touch
