Larry Johnson and Mustard

I'm sorry, what was intelligent about taking another person's viewpoints and spewing them as your own? His next original thought will be his first. Glad I won't have to hear it. Mustard was just a foil for the show.

The thing is I used to tune in just to see if the station had given them another week. How long would they let them pander to these nyy loons?
It turned out to be quite a run. But it got so bad with the slotted calls that big-time station that they are (and will constantly tell you),they couldn't put up with it. Even on a Saturday morning.

LJ may have been a nice guy but I just hated the religous overtones he brought to the table. I'm sure he was sincere but I could have done without it. The best was his on-air beef with Dickerson

I didn't think anything was as bad as yankee talk but after catching about 10mins of andelman talk on TKK Sunday evening, I'd have to say this show is as bad.
eddie informed the audience that he had secured a 'sitter for his grandchild with a call to Aruba: wow.

agreed, as well... although there are plenty of god-fearin' people in professional sports who often express their faith. There's often an intertwine (?) of sports and overt expressions of religion and patriotism.

At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, Mustard and Johnson may have been the worst show in the history of all media. It's amazing that it stayed on for as long as it did. You had a smarmy, condescending, has-been paired with a no-talent affirmative action case with an irritating voice. Neither of them had any sports knowledge above an ordinary fan. As if that wasn't bad enough, they had a menagerie of regular callers who controlled the show because those two Nancies were afraid of them.

Lame Larry Lardass has only ruined one Big Show since that mess was canceled and it sounded like he was a last-minute substitution. I hope I never hear his voice again.

I'm amazed Larry Johnson, and not Craig Mustard, inspires such vitriol from some radio-info repliers.True,he did not have a radio voice. But he was not as obnoxious as liberal Wellesley'professor' Mustard. And he wasn't an angry racist on Boston radio (See Jimmie Myers). And his interplay with Mustard was amusing at times. No,they weren't as knowledgable on sports as Peter Gammons-types,but does the Big O display a high sports acumen? That's a Big nO. Outside of Boston teams, most local sports-radio guys don't know beans about the rest of the league's players and stats/history.Are you trying to tell me Lenny Megliola is an upgrade on 850 weekends? I do agree with others that the regular cast of 'loser' callers like Danny from Quincy(the screamer),Victor,Sadiki,Mike from Canton, etc.etc, were instant preset changers for me.Why they let these lowlifes dominate their show for years is beyond me..... Overall, for a weekend show,it wasn't bad.And I will miss it.But good riddance to those one note-peabrain callers who spent hours each weekend on their phones in order to spew the same jibberish for 5 minutes over our airwaves.Maybe now,if we're lucky, they can call each other on their cellphones to rant and not expose the radio audience to their general ignorance.
