Larry King Is Back

This is one of these things like what Dan Rather, Ted Koppel, Keith Olbermann, or a few others have done after leaving major networks. They have familiar brand names and a tangible fan base. There are people who will want to watch them, regardless of the platform. So it's a choice that's available. Not the most convenient one. But a choice nonetheless. In the long run, what makes Larry's show work is the guest. We've seen what happened to Conan once he went to TBS. He still gets guests, he still does funny things, but fewer people know about it. That's the future of media. More platforms with less impact.

I watched the debut episode with Seth MacFarlane on my PS3 yesterday. It wasn't bad. It's nice to see that even the legally dead can get their own show on Hulu. ;)

Kalamazoo, Michigan... hello?

Yep...that's the difference between "Now" and "Live."

I believe she's 95 years old...someone older than Larry. He also just spoke with Betty White, who's 90.

Correct. Phyllis Diller will be 95 on July 17th. She was 16 when Larry King was born in November 1933. How's that for a statistic?

Despite all the old-jokes, Larry is a mere child of 78. Regis Philbin is 2 years older than Larry, as is William Shatner. Of course, all that plastic surgery and the toupee (Shatner) doesn't hurt.
