Larry Lujack to Hit Parade Radio

Nice!

I had the opportunity to catch Lar on WRLL occasionally, and he seemed to still have an edge and a wit. A good lesson to those who are looking forward to retirement. Uncle Lar can't seem to stay away. Of course, this IS radio, afterall, and to quote Mr. Lujack..."it beats working for a living".

Hope they let him continue to have that edge.

Trust me Larry would never return unless he had complete Lujack control on show flow. It will be fun to hear one of the all time greats again!

I've been listening to this and the playlist sounds like a hipper "Music Of Your Life" musically. (Imagine my surprise to hear "Marie" The Bachelors, a lost oldie if there ever was one...)

Interesting.....have any affiliates (not counting my Part 15 FM transmitter on 94.9 in Bellingham) signed up yet?

I've been trying to find out, at least, rumors of affilates, but, have been unsuccessful up to this point.

I visited the Lujack wikipedia site today and was surprised how much info needed to be filled in. I was at work, and a little intimidated by all the rules of editing, so I passed. Perhaps this weekend I will attempt to "improve" the info. (you know they want sources, but I have a copy of "superjock", so I might be able to add).

The pride and joy of Caldwell, Idaho!

Just curious. What name did Lujack use at WCID(?)? Did he use Blankenburg or Lujack, since he was just a young un, wet behind the ears?

Well, at KCID, I'm not positive. Unless someone has authentic tape from the station I guess we will never know. Unless Lar himself will chime in, but something tells me that will be highly unlikely.
