Larry Mendte back on in NY at WPIX

Tonight, Larry Mendte, officially debuts on WPIX, doing weeknight commentaries at 10p.

Recently, I spoke with WPIX News Director Bill Carey about his adding the one-time WABC-TV anchor Larry Mendte, coming of the heels of controversial demise in Philadelphia 2 years ago.

Carey, who took over as PIX news director on Nov. 30, discussed the reasons for bringing Mendte onboard, despite that controversial past. He also talked about a possible idea for Mendte at Channel 11 going forward.
