Hello, I'm the grandson of a radio host from Selma, Alabama. My grandfather's name was Larry Morris, and I'm hoping that this forum can help me out.
Larry Morris hosted "Morris in the Morning" on WHBB-AM and its sister FM station for many years. He also broadcasted/hosted sporting events. He was loved in the Selma community. I've been able to hear stories about him from my dad and also found some stories of his hijinks online after he passed.
I've been searching to find more information about him since he passed when I was in high school and suffered from Parkinson's for a few years before. My main goal is to find recordings and stories of his and compile them as a gift to my dad. I want to be able to hear his voice and broadcasts and share that with my family. Can anyone on this forum help point me in the right direction to reach my goal? It would mean so much.
