Larry Robb left Entercom, bought company

He resigned from Entercom Buffalo last week and he recently purchased the SKM Group.

I believe Larry worked for Entercom for about 10-12 years.

Let us know what is going no behind the scenes. Who gets his old job, why did he resign and how will this impact the seven stations in WNY.

Larry Robb is a class act and gentleman. He's been part of the WBEN-Star-Magic operation far more than 12 years. I wish him continued success.

Good for Larry! Sounds like an excellent opportunity and a new challenge that helps him escape the wretched world of corporate radio.

Anything new on who may fill his position at Entercom Buffalo?

Is Tim Wenger a possible candidate and ready for the promotion?

I'd think that Larry Robb's replacement would be more likely to come out of sales. Don Tomasulo or Tim Holly would be the obvious candidate, but I wouldn't be surprised if Greg Ried just "consolidated" all the stations under his aegis.

I don't not think the position will be filled at all. Greg will be the only GM/VP.

You're probably right. That's too bad. He didn't get the name "Greg Greed" for nothin'.

Larry Robb is a great guy. I'm glad things are going well for him and wish him well in his new endeavor.
