Larry The Cable Guy Gets History Channel Show!

Further proof that cable networks are making radical moves in the 21st Century...

"Lewis and Clark had nothing on Larry the Cable Guy," reads the press release from The History Channel. "From the Oregon Trail to the Grand Canyon, crossing the Delaware and searching for gold in the hills of California, Larry is setting out to explore the country, and he’s bringing his unique brand of all American fun along for the ride in a highly entertaining take on history."

The new series, with the working title "Only In America with Larry The Cable Guy," has been given a 13-episode order by The History Channel, and will debut this summer.

If this is the alternative, I wish they'd go back to all-Hitler-all-the-time. At least then you'd get a semi-decent movie every once in a while.

They have since become the all-apocolypse channel.

Which is clearly where this series fits in~! ;D

After giving up satellite TV one year ago I keep hoping I made a mistake. The History Channel was my very favorite of all the cable channels.

Stories like this prove, sadly, I didn't.

Will he do an episode where he goes to the pawn shop on "Pawnstars" and tries to sell his edible underbritches?

No, that's actually going to be a two-hour movie special! ;D
