Larry's 3 week vacation

I tuned in this morning to KAGM and Larry is still on vacation! This is the start of week 3 of no Larry. The question is it smart to fire everyone and then Larry is not there for 3 weeks! it gives the few KAGM listeners they have a chance to go back to Kob.

I give props to Larry he gets 200K! gets a one share and by my count has already had 4 weeks of vacation in 06 and it's only March 20th!
You Go Larry

No it isn't smart. I know some of the people that work for that station and the only people that cared about building the radio station were chris and the bean and the red menace guys. They weren't just collecting a paycheck. Now they are gone and those that were only in it for the money are still there. Logan fired the wrong people. Well of course he is trying to get the range back up and running so I guess he is doing his job as the hatchet man.

It won't seem so smart of Larry when he's licking envelopes with resumes. People don't care who reads them the news on KKOB or any other similar station; we've seen that in Phoenix and Tucson recently, and of course 770 hasn't exactly suffered. I'll take the guaranteed $100k vs. $200k for a year... and vanishment into the ether. Although I hope that Jessica Owens doesn't go unemployed for long when it all folds; she can come work at my station. :)

BTW, any of the KAGM shows get on KTBL? The Medved-Doyle-O'Reilly hours seem a bit weak compared to Beck with his new TV show and strong 25-54 demos. And since Boortz only plays well in the south, they might as well add Ramsey.

Re: Larry

As Larry has had a good income for some time (granted, high-tax ordinary income), and he apparently has some sort of multi-year contract now, he likely does not need to get another job before he retires. I would expect him to just run out the contract and make this his last position. He probably has at least a moderate amount of investments and net worth that will sustain him indefinitely.
