Las cruces combo sold

Hopefully NMSU has a contract with the current company that stipulated even with a sale the games must be carried. These are the only stations in town I believe so there is not alternative, other than El Paso and that would suck. I don't think having an upstart is going to be good for LC especially if they have no broadcasting experience.

The company buying the Las Cruces group is the old Adams Radio Group that exited the business about 20 years ago. They're apparently trying to get back into the business in small and some of the smaller medium markets.

So, the good news is that they have experience. They're also community-minded. All employees are required to do at least 40 hours of charitable work for their communities, and they're given paid time off work to perform these duties.

The bad news is that the original Adams Radio went bankrupt, and it's poor decision making trashed stations like KISS in San Antonio, KOOL in Phoenix and KCBQ in San Diego. KISS and KOOL went right back up after new owners took over.

Well sounds like with that philosophy they will probably keep the ags on the air at least until they go out of business. lol

Show Low...Bravo Mic Communications probably won't agree with your assessment of the only stations in Las Cruces belief :)

They own some of the "other" stations; KOBE-1450 (News-Talk), KVLC-FM 101.1 (101 Gold), KXPZ-FN 99.5 (The Rocket) and KMVR-FM 104.9 (Magic 105).

If you believe their corporate website PR..."101 Gold" is trending as the most listened to Las Cruces station. All the stations, except
KOBE-1450 are streaming high quality.
