Las Vegas December 2011 book

It's been a while since I've posted any ratings information, so sorry about that guys. I haven't had any access to the info in a long time. Below is the top 10 P25-54 ranker. Sorry, I don't have P18-34. Maybe someone else does.

P25-54 (Mon-Sun, 6a-12mid)
#1 Sunny
#2 Mix
#3 KKLZ/KOMP (tie)
#5 KLUC
#6 Point
#7 KISF
#8 Coyote
#9 KVEG/KRGT (tie)

Notes from me:

As expected, a big book for All-Christmas Sunny as they go from 4 to 1.

Huge book for Country. KWNR up a little but Coyote is through the roof. Gotta wonder if it’s due to NFR in town. KCYE goes 13t to 8. KWNR goes 13t to 14, but up slightly in share.

KLUC put some nice distance over the other 3 top 40 stations. 93.1 is basically dead as they go from 12 to 19. KVEG and NOW are hangin’ in there pretty good.

With KVGS flipping to BOB, I would have expected to see more of an increase for KXTE but they are flat. In fact, they’re down by a slight degree.

Once again, no Spanish station in the top 5.

Biggest winners from November to December:
#1 Sunny (up over 40%)
#2 Coyote (up almost 35%)

Biggest winners from November to December:
#1 Party (down over 35%)
#2 Point (down 25%)

That Sunny number is due to the Xmas music. That number will drop to it's normal range the next book. It seems as though these PPM's have found the Country listeners that have been missing since PPM started. It's not the NFR that caused the jump in numbers for The Coyote, how about their live DJ's during the day who are out there promoting the station as opposed to KWNR that's only live with their morning team and they turned out to be another Clear Channel faux pas. Ooops, this just in I see "The Party" or "All the Hits", took a hit. Oh no, another Clear Channel property. Happy New Year!

I don't get to listen to KOMP much. What are they doing different today that they weren't doing a year ago (when they were barely top 10 P25-54)? Always interests me to see what can move the PPM neddle.

More outlaw biker types got meters? j/k

Given the high ratings for Beasley's music station and relative good rating for their country station, you would think they could just simulcast that programing on KDWN (a "1") and do better. With KDWNs night signal, a country station would get some good listenership throughout the west ..
