Lassie is shown on Cozi TV from 6-7 AM EST every morning and from 7-8 PM weeknights. The episodes shown vary from the 1954-57 episodes with Tommy Retting, 1957-1964 with Jon Provost, and from 1964-73 with Lassie in the forest with Park Rangers, etc, . Now the question I have is: what stations in New England carried Lassie from 1954-63? I know it was a CBS show, but the current CBS affiliates in Boston (WBZ 4), Providence (WPRI 12) and Hartford (WFSB 3), were either not on the air yet or not carrying CBS shows full time. I was not around then, but maybe some members who were around then know.
 
Most likely (without looking it up) it was on WNAC 7 in Boston, WHYN 40 in Springfield and WNHC 6 (later 8) in New Haven, possibly on delay on all 3 (they were all shared affiliates with CBS being the primary network). Since Providence had only WJAR 10 at that time I'm not sure if it cleared at all there.
 
In Hartford, it would have been on WHCT Channel 18, which was a CBS O&O early-on. CBS sold WHCT and moved its programming to WTIC-TV Channel 3 in late 1958, so it would have aired there. At the same time, WHYN-TV Springfield dropped CBS and became ABC fulltime, so it no longer aired Lassie.
 
I should have stated that my remarks were for listings before WHCT became a CBS O&O, and before WTIC and WPRO came on the air.

You asked for 1954-63. WHCT became a CBS O&O in 1956. WTIC went on the air in 1957 and CBS moved there in '58 - well within your window. Prior to 1956, Lassie may have aired on WNHC Channel 8 New Haven since it carried some CBS programming until '56.

Prior to WPRO signing on (1955), Lassie would have aired on WJAR since it had a secondary CBS affiliation, if it aired in Providence at all.
 
The final three seasons of "Lassie" (it actually ran until 1974) were produced for first-run syndication, but I can't offhand recall who in Boston carried the show during that time.
