Lat TV is on the air on channel 42

Lat TV finally got its last charter station on the air. Really grainy signal (makes channel 53's look good). I'm sure they have a whooooooole lot of bugs to work out. (Like cutting out of and joining shows in mid-stream.)

I'd have to agree with you about the Channel 42 signal at this time. It's little to nonexistant here in the NW Valley. KTVP-LP was this way for a few weeks after they signed on Channel 22, but they come in a little better now.Companion station K25DM on Shaw Butte is still running HSN.In other Spanish-language TV news, it looks like Telemundo's move to Channel 39 may come sooner than expected as I heard that they're near completion of the new transmission system.

At first, Lat TV indicated that the programming would be ch 25 first, and eventually on both stations, but with ch 42 transmitter moving from E Mesa to South Mtn, I'll bet they keep HSN on ch 25. Why tamper with a revenue stream?FWIW, the line for the FCC predicted service area for KVPA-LP in the West Valley runs from about Goodyear to Luke AFB to southern Sun City (approx Grand/103rd Ave) up to around I-17/Loop 101 area. After that, the mountains interfere. Ch 25's coverage is mainly within ch 42's, so I'm not sure what they'd gain by flipping 25, other than the area immediately north and NE of Shaw Butte.
