Lat TV Launches May 19 on Channel 42

See Lat TV website article: http://www.lattv-english.com/en/rel/?11When Latin America Broadcasting Inc. bought K25DM (HSN) and K42FD (Shop at Home) last year, they indicated that they would drop the contract with HSN and keep the Shop at Home contract, at least initially, and launch a new service called Lat TV on both channels 25 and 42.In November, they changed their calls from K42FD to KVPA-LP, and in December, they applied to move KVPA's transmitter site from Usery Mtn to the South Mtn antenna farm. The CP was granted last month.Tomorrow (5/15) they will announce that Lat TV will debut on KVPA-LP 42 on May 19. Lat TV is also starting up in Austin (KVAT-LP 17), Dallas (KJJM-LP 34), Houston (KCVH-LP 30) and San Antonio (KISA-LP 40).This brings the number of Spanish-language stations in Phoenix to 9. Others are KTVP-LP 22 (Almavision), KCOS-LP 28 (LFN), KTVW-TV 33 (Univision), KFPH-CA 35 (Telefutura), KPDF-CA 41 (Azteca America), KEJR-LP 43 (Ind), KDRX-CA 48 (Telemundo) and K53GF (Adelan TV).
