Houston-based Lat TV, a Spanish-language TV network that launched May 19, 2006 with 5 LPTV stations in Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas and in Phoenix, Arizona, has announced a partnership with Equity Broadcasting Corporation that will put Lat TV on 26 stations owned or controlled by Equity in 22 markets, stretching from Seattle, Washington to Port St. Lucie, Florida, and from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Ventura, California.
The 5 charter stations consisted of 2 O&O's: KCVH-LP 30 Houston TX and KVPA-LP 42 Phoenix AZ and 3 affiliates, all owned by Mako Communications of Corpus Christi TX: KVAT-LP 17 Garfield (Austin) TX, KJJM-LP 34 Dallas & Mesquite TX, and KISA 40 San Antonio TX. Lat TV also owns K25DM Phoenix, an HSN affiliate.
