Late Night Ads

There seem to be a few companies that only buy ad time between 2 and 5 AM and have some low budget ads of various quality.
Here they are, from best to worst:

Try Nino Furniture, somewhere in New Jersey. Not sure of the exact name, but it looks like someplace the props department of the Sopranos would go shopping from what they show in the ad.

At Home Carpet. This features a stereotypical Italian-American couple with outerborough accents having a fight over going shopping for carpet instead of watching the game on TV.

Some home improvement contractor. This ad looks like it was produced on a 1980s vintage home camcorder recording on EP mode and edited on two low end VCRs, as it appears to be just a printed sheet in front of the camera which changes with some rough jump cuts, all over home made narration. There is about two seconds of music thrown in at the end as an after thought, but is after the v/o. I haven't seen one of these lately, so they may have blown their ad budget. These only seemed to air on WABC for some reason.

Forman Mills. I have never heard of this company before, as the ads started airing in the past couple of months. Apparently it is some sort of clothing store somewhere in New Jersey. The copy of the ad is read rather fast, with the v/o guy yelling "FORMAN MILLS" every few seconds all over catalouge models mugging for the camera with a cromakeyed in moving primary color backround and picture of the store. This has to be the worst ad ever, or if not the worst the most annoying.

here in philly we have been seeing those forman mill ads for years. "FORMAN MILLS, Stech those bills now, FORMAN MILLS".

The worst case of the Forman Mills ads are the ones aired on Saturday morning (*sarcasm* like I make it point to go discount clothes shopping on Saturday */sarcasm*) that make it appear like their broadcasting "live" from one of their store location onsite.

They're almost as bad as the yelling and screaming guy from Cherry Hill Auto Mall. Give it a rest with the fake "LIVE" on screen tag, will ya?

Haven't seen the Cherry Hill auto ads or the Forman Mills ads outside of late night.

Yeah, don't you just love those "live" ads from Cherry Hill Auto Mall and 73 Chevrolet (all the worst offenders are in NJ, for some reason)? It's raining and 50 degrees outside, yet at their "live" car lots, the sun is out and it's short sleeved shirt weather. Amazing places, those south Jersey car lots!

I don't think any of the ads for these NJ car dealers aired here.
