5. "If you bring your talk show here, we'll sell all our stations!"

Missing from that compilation is Dave's Top 10 list after Westinghouse bought CBS. "Dr. Quinn: Refrigerator Repair Woman" still cracks me up to this day.

I don't know if it was in the videos posted earlier (no time to watch all of it), but I remember a Top 10 list to the effect of "Top Ten Signs Your Network Has Been Sold To Westinghouse" and one of them was something like "Guy you've never seen before in the hall keeps grabbing his crotch and yelling 'You can be sure it's Westinghouse."

(for those too young to get the joke, "You can be sure if it's Westinghouse" was a corporate slogan which dated back to 1948):

Unfortunately, I don't subscribe to Status, so this is all I know. Still, this is an interesting twist regarding the Trump settlement. (from Bluesky)

From my personal perspective, I find that blanket statement of opinion to be without merit.

I am a daily viewer of ABC's World News Tonight and find they do a more than adequate summary of the day's news, without bias. I do not feel the same about This Week with George Stephanopoulos. But then, I gave up on the other two network's Sunday morning shows long ago.

I hope your head doesn't explode from the idea of me liking and disliking ABC at the same time.

Well maybe you are right. But I am still a little upset that ALL of the news organizations failed to hold Trump accountable this last time and as a result he coasted to Victory and he should have been disqualified a long time ago.

I did however watch the clip today of Bill Cosby paying tribute to Malcolm-Jamal Warner from ABC News. I was surprised and glad they interviewed him. I know they all turned against him due to the rape allegations. Maybe I should keep an open mind but I do not have cable anymore.

also the one who thought he could lowball the NFL, because Art Modell didn't assume the Fox viewing position
Note that Art Modell was forced out of the NFL's broadcast committee by Jerry Jones and Pat Bowlen, who only cared about the number of zeros the networks could write on their bids.
