Late to the Party, but Howdy!

Greetings everyone, I'm ZantennaG1 from Cheyenne, WY, USA, and I have a passion for radio, and particularly Dxing. I officially joined this site back in March 2021, however my interest goes back to at least 2016. Perhaps ironically, I discovered RadioDiscussions whilst I was looking for some information about one of my local stations, and I was immediately impressed by the fact that both experts and amateurs could have an open discussion about the business of radio. I have to admit I "lurked" here since the late part of 2020, until I worked up the courage to create an account.

The first ever Tropo I can remember was KLWV Chugwater being loud and clear in Scottsbluff (some 120 miles away) a few years ago, but I had no clue what Dxing was at the time. The first season I started to officially look for skip and tropo was 2020, and so my first official E-skip log was 90.9 WJAB Huntsville, Alabama in June of that year.

My spot in Southeast Wyoming is on some mostly flat and grassy terrain, but situated on a hill. I am at 6,100 feet in elevation, which is particularly useful in grabbing stations to my south in Colorado. The ground Conductivity is good here, but not insane. My farthest listenable FM market is Denver at 115 miles, whilst my farthest consistent AM station is 880 KRVN Lexington, NE (280 miles, and fringe, but listenable when outside).

I also became interested in AM Dxing in 2019, as well as Shortwave in 2021. My farthest AM catch at home is WWL New Orleans at 1,180 miles, and my farthest catch on the road is WSM Nashville (over 1,250 miles) whilst in Riverton, WY. I was able to recieve KJJR's DX Test in January 2022.
My farthest shortwave catch is Radio New Zealand International (7500 miles) on 11.825 and 13.840.

As many of you know, the DX Logger was shut down recently, so this website is a refuge for those of us who want to post our loggings.

Anyways, I have enjoyed the ride here, and I hope to enjoy it for several decades to come. I have quarreled with some of you (mostly over politics and the state of AM), which I do apologize for, and I would like to work on that. Fortunately, this has been one of the most open forums I have been on, and I thank you all for being so welcoming.

Thank you, @frankberry for the thread idea!
