John Gabrial has left the building at WTRY along with a production dude, traffic reporter and apd... Love to have a 5 year tally of everyone from CC. Who wants to start?

I heard about Lamp today.. Bleznyk, too? Were these layoffs?

this is just a start of whats to happen at clear channel kiss fm? the river? any reports of who might be staying or going as you said before it's afternoon PD's , traffic etc... they are keeping there morning shows however correct?

Terry O'Donnell: Gabe noooooooooooo!!! This sucks! Let me know how I can help!

I like how people in radio help out each other, but if these layoffs / budget cuts are big where will these cc pd's go?

say D Scott gets let go from kiss will he try for fly 92 , maybe even John Gabriel or Randy McCarten from The River , they will have a hard time getting back there pd position with another company with a tight market here in the capital region.

Kiss is pretty solid. Station sounds great. Has best rtgs ever Elvis rules.

Would be surprised to see changes at river after the last book. Also probably ride out pyx and see what happens now that the wolf is muzzled.

corporate greed at it's best , your right kiss fm is solid but still D scott seems worried , I would be too if i was working at clear channel.

John Gabriel has been on the air for years and was a familiar voice to Capital Region listeners. Now some corporate bean counter forces him off the air. It's beyond digust how these radio conglomerates are allowed to pillage the radio industry in particular local listeners.

Gotta believe d is ok. Has he even been there a year? I bet there were a lot of worried people there today.

D Scott:
Clear Channel Communications, Inc.
Afternoon Host / Producer for 102.3 KISS FM · Jan 2011 to present · Albany, New York

almost a year there radeo, I am wondering if there targeting veterans who have been on the radio for the longest or it doesn't matter it seems

i hear that chuck is a big blow to the capital region 15 yrs or more i think John has been on WTRY.

Corporate scum I guess no matter where ya go in radio you better keep your fingers crossed , but working for clear channel as big as it is your more likely to get tossed to the curb no matter if your good at what you do or not.

this wasn't about ratings but about saving money

I think listeners should have a vote of who stays and who goes just like they do with politicians, fair system

Legends is a long way from being any kind of a factor.

Listeners do have a vote- turn off the radio, switch the station, tell the advertisers that you hate them supporting such a crappy business model, vote with you wallet. Social media makes it easy to make noise. Make some noise!

I agree with reporter more cuts , Legends has no local advertisers the sister station Legends 102.7 in utica operates 96.7 fm.

Crawford had a position open then ditched the efforts to save money they play 18 songs in an hour less talk 3 on-air hosts via tracking from utica

tuning aways is key but many love WPTR 96.7 because they play more music

I applied for WPTR 2 months ago when the job first opened. I interviewed with the GM and Mr. Crawford. 20 hours a week for the 3-7 pm shift, voice tracked. $13 per hour. They apparently decided against it.

reporter i got interviewed too with don crawford for that posting part time 20hrs called and called them and they told me still making decisions and he ended up scraping the whole idea to save money.

I wasted my time and I wasn't happy , I guess money is more important to crawford then adding some good talent to the local albany market for WPTR 96.7.

true kbradio the only thing is I think ABC/B95.5 is cutting back there morning shows to 1 morning host only this is the trend, wonders if TSM will follow suit
