Latest Arbitrends: WBNS-AM joins WTDA in being beaten by WLW

WTDA officially got no ratings in the Spring book.

Hey, maybe that's a good thing for them. They can guarantee advertisers double-the-ratings in the Summer or your money back, and not have to worry about paying out. That station is a joke and a half, even by Columbus standards.

gabigley1 was nice enough to provide this link elsewhere on the Columbus board, and I'll provide it here:

http://www.columbusdispatch.com/liv...DAZE.ART_ART_08-03-09_A6_4OEL2HP.html?sid=101

It's a recent Dispatch article concerning our radio stations' declining advertising revenues, largely due (according to one local general manager quoted in the piece) to an "(ad) rate structure that has somewhat imploded."
Well, of course it has -- now that everyone has finally figured out that all of our commercial stations are only offering rock-bottom programming, they're quite logically only willing to pay rock-bottom prices to advertise with any of them!
