Latest Chicago Radio Ratings 7-09-24

A little bit of progress for 100.3

Meanwhile I can tell 93.9 has shifted towards Gold AC and less of a Soft AC station especially since they added more uptempo songs earlier this year. Looking at The Breeze in San Francisco and Sacramento, I did see them play some recurrents like Flowers and Cold Heart. While they do have the same format, WLIT doesn’t really play songs past 2019.

WGN with a total cume of only 254,100? (Listed on the Radio Insight version of today's ratings) We all know it but my how the times have changed.

Cume in general is down since the pandemic. I see a lot of stations that once had over 1 million in cume before the pandemic stuck in the 5-800k range. Only a few still have 1 million or more.

As soon as the non-sensical "SHE" branding was dumped from 100.3, the AQH share improved by nearly 40 percent.

I knew that brand was an Achilles heel.

They were usually fine with a 2.0-2.5 or so over the years. They averaged around there in the AC days. After going 80s-90s, WNND flipped to Love FM with ratings around a 1.5.
