I know it doesn’t matter to anyone outside of this board, but if WSCR was put on 96.3, the WBBM-FM calls could slide over to 105.9 and finally put the WCFS (“Chicago’s FreSh”) calls out to pasture.

But because of First Local Service rules, where the FCC and NAB have painted themselves into a corner with capricious, inconsistent and nonsensical rules to prevent more competition from "move ins", the COL has to remain as Elmwood Park. The population served could be dramatically increased in many cases otherwise, without even losing 60 dBu vs. 70 dBu to unincorporated and nearly nonexistent communities, but it has to stay with the First Local Service City of License. Not that Elmwood Park is nearly nonexistent, but many First Local Service "communities" are.

I don’t see why they are only 0.1 behind US*99 and high twos low threes is average they won’t flip it . They won’t flip B96 either it bills well. Only thing local is the morning show which is syndicated and the midday jock. The afternoon show is tracked from Detroit and nights are tracked from LA.

They also would never flip any signal to sports not in this town at least in case you’ve been sleeping we are very mediocre in pretty much everything. No one wants to listen about how the Bears are going to make the biggest comeback ever next year . Let’s get real.

White Sox are pretty good but I guess Chicago is very much a Cubs town no matter how well or poorly either team is doing.

That is why WKSC is beating them B96 is not local enough
