Latest "On the Beach" reports

TVJobs.com is reporting that Adam Slinger, Corey Rangel and Brian Webb are "on the beach". The three all worked at KNXV (ABC-15) and their bios are no longer on the website.

It looks like ABC 15 is cutting back on reporters -- perhaps so they can fund the five-person weather team.

I was surprised to see Corey Rangel on the list. It seemed that he had moved from just a field reporter into the investigative team and was doing well.

On the other hand, ABC15 had hired a rash of new reporters over the last few months including Katie Conner, Elizabeth Erwin, Lauren Gilger, Sara Goldenberg, Nohelani Graf, Pete Suratus and Nick Van Zant plus Laura Thomas on weather.

Corey Rangel is going to Chicago. Don't know which station though.
Adam Slinger is now the weekend co-anchor for Good Day Columbus.
Don't know about Brian Webb.

Maybe but it's not like he's going to Omaha. Last I heard, Chicago was a good sized market.

"Let Joe Know" is the trademark of the (relatively) new news director Pat Costello. Costello came from KING 5 in Seattle where the franchise is "Get Jesse".

And, who knew that "Good Day Columbus" had a weekend edition?!? Good Lord, that station was horrible back in the late 90's. Good Luck to Adam, he will need it.
