latest pirates i've heard

so. here are 2 pirates i've heard.
first one. 91.3. this station playes unsensered rap and goes by "street heat radio" and there is a buzz behind the transmittion and we hear some guy's cell phone ring and he puts callers on the air this way. only can pick it up at night in a saturn vue with a factory stereo. my eton e10 can't even get it. signal is real staticky here in altamonte so i guess he's coming out of orlando.
second. 93.5
no profanity on here, just some guy playing 60s/80s music and a jingle at the top of the hour. i can't remember the guys name though. Don't hear this one anymore but i heard this a month or so ago. Was a rimshot here in altamonte. came in well outside the house. in the house, could not get it.
that's all for now. if i hear anymore, i'll let you know.

I've also heard 91.3 pretty strong on my car radio when I was traveling on I-4 around the OBT exit. It sounds very 'tinny'. All I heard was a mixshow of uncensored crunk rap.

Fortunately, it doesn't totally interfere with WPRK 91.5 Rollins College.

"Charlie J" is the guy in the top-hour stuff ran on 93.5. I heard the station on again last night after the ball dropped. He was on a few days before Christmas playing all-xmas tunes as well. His signal gets around, but I think he runs the station so infrequently that no one's found him out yet.

I didn't even know that there were any pirates in Orlando. Would be cool if a pirate started paying breaks/trance/dance music.

yes charley J. that's the guy. I understand his signal covered up near sanford? his signal was a rimshot heer in altamonte. I think he was broadcasting north of here.

yeah I'm gonna DX from a car radio tonight and see if i still can get 91.3. Did some research and that 91.3 signal is notorious for pirates. so was 95.9 untill a few years ago. I remember when "live 95" was on back in 2000.
so has 93.5 been another one for pirates.

signal actually comes in great on any of my radios here in sanford.

sounds about right then.
tried mr. charley today and could not get him. i'll keep listening to 93.5. sometimes they play good music on there. 93.5 is another notorious one for pirates.

WPRK 91.5 Rollins College plays breaks Friday nights somewhere between 9pm-3am. I appeared on there last Friday at 1am & played Breaks & Freestyle for that radio mixshow. There's also Friday morning 3-6am with a fellow DJ playing Breaks.

ok. found something out about 91.3 they broadcast near the amway arena because i picked up there signal pretty clear from there. i think he's a little south of there. he covers pretty much all the way to altamonte but when i got in the weather's field subdivision i pretty much lost his signal so i think he's running like 50 watts or more. it's interesting.

All this time and i never knew. Will be tuning tonight....thanx

91.3 was on again. The signal is very strong near downtown Orlando tonight at the intersection of Orange Ave. & SR50/Colonial. That's when it starts to interfere with WPRK 91.5, where I was locked until then. Sounds like they're on more often at nights now. Wouldn't be surprised if they're hiding in the slums of Parramore.

"Super CFL" on 96.9

Is the Oldies pirate on 96.9 still active?

Out of all the unlicensed Orlando area stations (and there were several when I lived there), this was my favorite. This station would pop on occasionally and play a broad list of 60s-70s Oldies.

I'm guessing the operator was originally from Chicago: he used the WCFL call letters and even had the original "Voice of Labor, Super CFL" jingles and liners. I'm also guessing he had some sort of engineering background. The signal was strong, well processed, and cleaner than any other "pirate" I'd ever heard.

Seemed to be located in the Casselberry/Winter Park area. I was able to hear this station on my car radio as far east as Waterford Lakes (unless the band was open and Jacksonville was blasting in.)

Good stuff! I haven't been down there since 2004. Is this one still active?

no. nothing on 96.9. sometimes we get ft mires or jax blasting in but that's about it.

now, question. who here hears oldies and 80s music on 92.7? it's just like 93.5 so i think charley j is back at it. i like the format. the sound is destorted. the signal barely comes in here in altamonte. so i've been listening on and off but have not caught the top of hour thing yet. i'm listening right now to it. it's real hard to hear because it barely comes in. the only reason i know is because i use my ipod fm transmitter on 92.7 and heard it like 2 weeks ago in a friend's car when i turned off the ipod. so anyone know or heard of this one? thanks. and i have not tried 91.3 in a long time. is that station still there?

hey guys. it turns out that charley j is the one who is on 92.7 now. it comes in pretty good outside my house on my eton e10 radio. i finally caught the top of the hour thing today. he plays 60s to 80s music.
