For the period ending Sept 19
WJMN big increase: inherited WILD-FM audience?
WEEI number two...then the Sox lost 5 straight to the Yanks (but still a strong showing; there's this
football team in Foxboro they talk about, too)

WKLB pretty strong. Will we see that freq move by Nov or so? 7th most popular station in town. Almost
twice as popular as WBCN. Who'd a thunk it? "And up here, nobody buys 'em (country records),
and I said, 'But I will'. And it was Nashville Cats, playin' cool as country water..."

'RKO down a few tenths of a percentage point; still beats 'TKK which went up slightly

WILD-FM down slightly What day was the format change?
The AAR stations beaten out by country from NH, classic hits from Nashua, country from New Bedford, and
Bob Bittner's wonderful AM entry. But they did just barely beat out religious WEZE-AM.

Would WXKS/WKOX go up if they hired a LOCAL weekday host, to talk the LOCAL issues? Hire Varulven. Heck,
you know how WEEI passes out "go Red Sox" signs to people going into Fenway (with the WEEI logo)? Why not have the AAR stations pass out Go Deval Patrick signs? People put 'em on the rear windows: I LOVE
DEVAL, AND AIR AMERICA!

just an idea. no charge.

Interesting fact: of the Greater Media stations, WKLB is (in the 12+ ratings at least) the second
most popular. Only WMJX is ahead of them. WKLB gets higher ratings that WROR, WTKK or WBOS.
In fact WKLB is a bit more than twice the numbers of WBOS. Country gets more popular.

I don't see WWZN or the ESPN combo showing up in the 12 +...ESPN 890/1400 does have local talk
late afternoons and they did pick up ESPN's Sunday afternoon football games (Westwood One's Monday
Night games are on WEEI) but that may not be enough...

The ratings within a cluster don't necessarily translate to the relative billing. I'm sure that WBOS still bills as much, or more, within it's demo than some of the other stations with higher overall numbers.

With Boston Spanish ( 890 ) and Urban ( 97.7 )stations Gone , WJMN is lovin this all the way to the TOP . I am now a Radio One Hater !

Yes, but isn't that the rule in Boston? Zero rated stations targeting Caucasian suburban men are acceptable, stations with moderate ratings targeting blacks and hispanics are not and should be replaced.
