Latino 96.3 FM now LA 96.3 La's Party Station

I notice all the sweepers are gone. They are playing less spanish music too. They are calling themselves 96.3 FM La's Party Station not La Spanglish party station anymore. I hear Dj Laz is starting on Monday at 6am. I wonder if the music will change more to Rhythmic CHR or Dance CHR with a latin flavor. ;D

I also notice they change their logo on their facebook page to LA 96.3 FM.

Wait? LA 96.3? While there's already an LA 101.9 in the same market? Wouldn't Univision break out the lawyers at that move?

KSCA is "La 101.9" and KXOL is "L. A. 96-3."

101.9 is "lah" 101.9 while 96.3 is "Ell-lay 96-3."

One means "the" in Spanish, while the other refers to L.A., the city.

One is pronounced in Spanish, the other is said in English.

new website too special thanks to radioinsight for this http://la963fm.com
so dont think its a stunt like last year

They had a press conference about all this ten days ago in Miami (SBS headquarters)...

... the main focus is DJ Laz coming to LA after 20 years at the top in Miami. But there is content about the music and the intentions of the crew to roll out nationally. That probably means the morning show, and thus the format, would be on WPAT FM in NY and WXDJ in Miami at some point, and they sound like they are dreaming of syndication, too.
