Lauer & Roker to get live prostate exam on TODAY Thursday

Why did you only use last names (or family names) in the title of this topic?

Why would any of us want or need any more details than he's already given?
We need to keep something like this as clinical, detached, and hypothetical as possible.
I have nothing against first names in general, but I would have been cool with "Patient #1" and "Patient #2" with a Dr. Seuss vibe.

I will not be watching...and yes, I always get a prostate exam during physicals. It's one of those necessities of life, especially for older men.

I assume they are trying to promote the practice, and that's admirable, but really - doctors ought to be doing that with their patients. Are there really men who refuse a prostate exam? They should "man-up." It only takes a few seconds.

CBS keeps running one of those "CBS Cares" PSAs urging prostate exams - with an actor who plays a doctor...on one of their soaps, I believe. Naturally, he's wearing a latex glove. It's quite amusing.

Back when Katie was on Today, she let them do a colorectal screening on her live on the air. This was after the death of her husband from colon cancer.

(oops, didn't realize the linked story mentioned the previous Katie exam)

You presume that men are regularly seeing a doctor. I haven't had visited one in almost seven years, and I bet my dad hasn't in 20.

Then again, Lauer and Roker presume that men are watching TODAY....
