Laura Daniels leaving B95

Christmas flip imminent? If B95 flipped before WTRY (or WRVE), they could easily be #1 for the fall book (or at least #2 behind WGNA) ;)

They should dump Delilah too if you ask me, or at least move it to overnights (12am to 5am)... doesn't fit with the rest of the station IMO :p

Time to reach out to Chuck Taylor and Kelly Stevens and get them back on together again on Morning Drive. They are a great team.

I second that! Here is Chuck & Kelly from the late 70's http://db.tt/WH9ooTTA

As far as Laura Daniels, See Ya! Good riddance. She was the demise of Ric Mitchell and the 2nd time around for Chuck Taylor. If she stayed around any longer it would've been the end of John Fox.

Chuck and Kelly are irrelevant now. Pretty uninteresting to listen to two people talk about themselves all morning... Personally, I'd rather hear music and news instead of what Kelly had for lunch or what wine Chuck enjoys with dinner.

I suspect Laura will not be immediately replaced. Fox will stay, he probably makes the station some money-- and he's enjoyable to listen to. He could do that morning by himself.

Best wishes to Laura. She is a strong talent.

I agree with the Danny Gates comment. If replaced though, I suspect another female will join Fox (read: target demo).

She'll have her work cut out for her in Buffalo. WJYE, known as "Joy" is an AC that's trying to reach younger demos, but over the last few books has been trending down, getting slammed by Entercom's Hot AC, Star 102.5. There's a tremendous upside for Ms. Daniels, but she's in for a lot of heavy lifting, especially if she's assuming the AM drive slot, which was just vacated by WJYE's longtime morning show featuring Joe Chile and Cheryl Hagen. Both "retired" last month. See the Buffalo-Niagara Falls-Rochester board for a complete autopsy report.
