Laura Ingraham w/ Lamb on C-SPAN Sunday

Laura Ingraham will be the guest of Brian "Wolflamb Jack" Lamb Sunday night
at 8 pm ET (repeated at 11 ET) on one of the C-SPAN stations (not sure which one).
Lamb recently was on her show; when he mentioned being a DJ back in the
early 60s, she dubbed him "Wolflamb Jack". She has said she even got the
sober-faced Lamb to laugh during the hour interview.

>>MUST-SEE LAURA TV: Watch Laura this Sunday on Reliable Sources on CNN at 11:30 am ET; and on CSPAN at 8 pm ET/11 pm ET (an hour-long interview with Brian Lamb).>>

I do, and I think she's clever. Left-wingers may scoff, but the "Healthy
Radio Addiction" that Laura offers is worth listening to. She will put on
people of opposing viewpoints and have them debate. Her show is funny
and has some great media criticism. Some on the left are probably jealous
of her millions of listeners. What's more entertaining, Ingraham or
Franken? Radio listeners vote with their dials...Power to the
people!

AAR should listen to Laura as she is very talented on the radio and they should be jealous of her numbers. The cute conservative blond thing is bit passe nowadays (what a picture, eh boys?). Its hard to take the "liberal media" bleating to heart in the days of Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, The New York Post, and the Wall Street Journal; but her listeners approve and that's all that matters. I prefer Savage as the best conservative role model for Liberal talk to Laura though- the anger is beautiful and he doesn't carry water for the Republican party or the administration. When he agrees he strongly agrees and when he doesn't he makes no apologies for a vicious attack. If you want to stay viable during a Democratically controlled white house and/or congress you need to follow that form- "no ditto heads for Democrats".

Ingraham. But only if you like your talk shows with
a healthy dose of sniggering.

But do I *have* to choose between two extremists?

She also turned up on Reliable Sources on CNN with Howard Kurtz reading GOP talking points this morning.

This was the weekend of propping up the administration and dissing Democrat disarray on ALL of the various pundit shows.

These are our choices? Put Ingraham up against Stephanie Miller and let's recheck the entertainment meter. Franken's show is a fit if you love public radio humor. I personally find it too subtle for my tastes, but there are people out there who love it (including his god-awful Oy, Oy, Oy show). Ingraham is running the Ann Coulter format on Xanax - a calmer, gentler, more compassionate attack method. Stephanie Miller is doing a cross between Saturday Night Live, The Daily Show, and Randi Rhodes.

Ingraham is a second tier conservatalker, found in markets where there is a second conservative talk station running "everybody else" like G Gordon, or Michael Reagan, or O'Reilly. She's not a ratings fire.

Who would the average 50-year-old male talk radio listener rather nail, Ingraham or Franken?

Obviously to you it's all about politics. To me it's about doing entertaining, compelling radio (or, in this case, not). Fact is, on many issues I'm so conservative I probably make you look like a New Dealer - but Ingraham is a terrible host, and that's the bottom line.

It's not an addiction - it's a crashing bore.

Amen.

I'm still trying to figure out what is so great about her show. It's really mediocre at best. I'd much rather listen to Glenn Beck or Stephanie Miller.

Just curious (please no rhetoric)... what brings you to the conclusion
that her show is boring? What are you basing it on? I'm not taking
her side nor am I against her just for the record.
Thanks,
The Spindoctor
ps. Yes, I have listened to her show.

Maybe because when he listens to it he experiences boredom.
Boredom is subjective; it is in the ear of the beholder.
Different strokes for different folks.

PS: What I find interesting is how somebody posts that Ingraham's appearance on C-SPAN generated so much comment before it took place.

Other people do find her show of interest, though; it's #5 behind Rush,
Hannity, Stern, and Savage, as I understand it.
I think it's funny and she makes good points. Good features like Duck of the
Day (even she made a Duck of the Day in the interview as she couldn't
quite "grade" the President--and she admitted it, too)...Lie of the Day,
Deep Thoughts, Sound Bite contest.

She has interesting guests on, too.
