Laura Ingraham

This is on Laura Ingraham's website:

IMPORTANT NOTE TO LAURA LISTENERS:
Due to contractual obligations, for the present time I am unable to reveal why I am not currently hosting The Laura Ingraham Show. Rest assured, this absence is not of my choosing, nor is it health or family related. I am ready, willing and eager to continue the conversation we started seven years ago about politics and the culture. (Heck, if cancer couldn't keep me off the airwaves for long, nothing will.) Keep checking the site for a schedule of my appearances on the Fox News Channel. All queries regarding my on-air status should be directed to Talk Radio Network's management at 541 474 2297 or send an email. http://www.talkradionetwork.com/corporatecontacts Thanks for sticking with me, and...POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

I really miss her on the radio - she is very informative and entertaining. I hope she returns on the air very soon. Monica Crowley has filled in for the past few days and has done a good job.

I heard Monica Crawley isn't ready for that show yet. Salem stations are starting to run Mike Gallagher live in that time slot.

CC/ABC is about to do this very deal also to Sean Hannity... Contracts are coming up... and Citidel is interested in Hannity, It hasn't been released why there are issues with Laura.

Stay tuned...

This is a shame for Laura. She's good. Monica is, too. I'm not a fan of Mike Gallagher. He makes Hannity look humble and polite. The time I heard Gallagher defending and rationalizing school bullying was the time I lost any respect I might ever have had for him.

More info from Brian Maloney
http://radioequalizer.blogspot.com

He quotes a radio insider as saying she's shopping her show around, poss to Citadel-ABC (as
a replacement should they lose Hannity)...operating "behind the back" of TRN's Mark Masters.
Maloney notes the note on Laura's site was pulled down.

Laura was on with Imus this morning during the 6 o'clock hour. She assured everyonE nothings wrong, at least health wise. She would not discuss the issues keeping her off the air, but Imus did offer his lawyers if she needs them.

Tom Taylor's radio-info.com column (available by email; free) says that supposedly TRN was offering her a new
contract (current one may be up next month?) but she may not have signed it/holding out for more? entertaining offers from other syndicators? Taylor says don't rule out Fox News Talk which could be angling for Sean and/or
Laura.

I was at the Talkers covnention this weekend in New York (where she received an award) and I can vouch for the fact that for the entire evening, at least in my view, Mark Masters went nowhere near Ms. Ingraham.

Ironically, the award presentation was sponsored by TRN. Lots of Savage and Mancow flyers all over the place.

I stated what I think will become of Ms. Ingraham's show in this post here:
http://www.radio-info.com/smf/index.php/topic,101560.0.html

I really can't see Laura going back to TRN and the whole deal with ABC falling through. WMAL desperately needs something new, and I think Laura would be a good choice for them to go with. This would force them to shake up their lineup, and it may also open the door for Citadel to put Laura on stations like WLS in Chicago (where there is already a high-profile afternoon drive host) where the morning program is just not working. Laura would also be much better positioned to have a company that actually OWNS radio stations behind her.

DAMN! I'm Good :p

Look at me. a vet, a college grad, never divorced, wife and kids...seems I'm doing better than all these "family value conservatives" (close the closet door) Maybe Laura and Matt Drudge should get a TV sitcom, they could call it "The Beardsleys".

"... with Ann Coulter as Apple Adams..."

Re: Laura Ingraham (benched By TRN)

A note on http://www.lauraingraham.com dispels the rumors that she walked away from her
show and/or is walking away from radio. Actually she says that she was taken off air as part
of contract negotiations with Talk Radio Network (Contract expires next month, I think). She
says she was taken off under her protests and against her will.

Monica Crowley has been on, saying "Laura will be back". But when? And where?

Nice way to run a business, yank your talent off the air until you nickel and dime them to death.

Great "conservative" values there- screw your workers, go only for the bucks.

WHK/Cleveland is one of those Salem stations that put Mike Gallagher on. They, however, simultaniously substitute his show's network spots for Laura's show spots.

Thanks Nate...

Can ya tell us when they make Mike's spots good???

Good question???

...Air America pulled the same crapola with Randi Rhodes -- for which those of us with Nova M are undyingly grateful ;-) ...
