Former KFYI AM Program Director, Laurie Cantillo, is now the new PD at Talkradio 77 WABC in New York. All Access has the story.

A tempered congrats to the Chickboss since, while it's the glitz of
New York and the heritage of WABC, how much actual programming
expertise will be needed? The vast majority of weekday time slots
are syndicated. The new local late-morning show is rumored to be
headed that way too.

A post on the NYRMB correctly noted that Laurie isn't going to be
telling El Rushbo, Hannity, et al, how to run their shows.

It's a job, but not much of a challenge. Unless of course you enjoy the challenge of working for Farid Suleman and are able to squeeze even more blood from the Citadel turnip. Makes Harpo seem like the Taj Mahal. Good luck Chickboss from the Buckeye Boyz!

That will make a few stations really happy around the country.

Moved up before the axe swings... ???

3 words (the new mantra) in radio, even if you work for Clear Channel, Citadel, Cumulus or the Beasley boys): "It's a gig!"

This mean Imus will be calling her a "Ho"?

errr...Chick Ho?! Nurse Jeff and I seriously doubt the I Man or any of the other syndicated talkers will take any direction or order from her. However she'll probably pull the plug on ABC news at the top of the hour and "gift" another station Paul Harvey.
