Laurie Kendrick let her feelings fly this morning on www.dxsradio.com with Dave E. Crockett. Laurie shared her feelings about terrestrial radio and offered some behind-the-scenes glimpes into what went on KLOL. She also touched on 97.5FM and her experiences with Cumulus. You can hear the rebroadcast tonight starting at 6:00pm on DXSRADIO.COM.

Tomorrow at 10:00am JIM PRUETT will be the guest with Dave E. Crockett on DXS! Have your questions ready and get ready for some great radio! The show starts at 9:00am and runs until 1:00pm with the rebroadcast at 6:00pm.

Dave E. I have listened to your station probably a dozen times, but had never heard your show before. Not really sure of the best word(s) to descripe your show that ran at 6pm, fantastic, incredible, whatever, it was the best laughs and enjoyment I have had from the radio in a long time. It was the way radio was at one time, many years ago. The air personality was just, if not more important than the music.

The dialogue between yourself and Laurie Kendrick, another true pro, was the great. I hope you have her back again for a longer period of time. With stations like yours there is no wonder why Internet Radio is growing with new listeners by leaps.

Now that a numbering system has been worked out for IR stations and radios are becoming available, terrestrial radio will have it's work cutout to stay competitive. The fact that IR will be available in some 2008 model vehicles is going to really give IR a boost. The sound quality of DXSRadio.com is super. I'm sure that IR radio will have a way of hooking into your existing vehicle radio, just as HD radio is doing.

Best of luck and may your station grow as fast or faster than IR, which I'm sure it will. If all the great talent that is on The Beach just in Houston goes to Internet Radio terrestrial radio will have a nearly imposible task of staying up with IR.

I don't think those people that run the AM/FM stations in Houston have a clue yet what many people want in a radio station. By the time those in charge figure it out, it just may be too late.

Thank you for an enjoyable evening.

Sorry I missed it. Laurie was great to work for. I hope she lands somewhere. She's very good at what she does. I wish I had room for her at KNTH.

I guess this is where we continue to shake our heads and wonder why the people in Atlanta don't seem to have a radio near. Laurie did a great job with what she had. Thank you Dave E., for having such fine talent on your show and being open to share your spotlight with them. They all shine very bright and I look forward to seeing them on their next stage.

Did anyone catch her se*ually oriented show on KFNC for Carmens Boutique & Video on Saturday nights? It was
pretty explicit. They took questions from callers and Carmen gave Laurie things from her store (she called them toys) to try out and Laurie reported back on them. It was open and honest talk on late night radio. Now that may be a show for DXSRadio. Chuck-Don't think that would be a good fit for KNTH though. ;)

When Roger Gray was programming KKTL 97Talk-FM, we had a show on Saturday nights, which was sexually oriented similar to Carmen, show. It was humorous, as well.

I heard that Carmen show, too while going out late one night. We thought it was pretty funny. We never really knew what Carmen was saying because of her accent which was very annoying. But I loved how Laurie tried to come up with different ways to call certain products or describe what they were used for. She's a very funny lady. What happened to that show? Typical to Houston radio it was on one night and then gone the next.
