CBS has announced that Passman will be ND Effective immediately

CBS on Thursday promoted Laurie Passman to vice president and news director at KTVT Dallas (DMA 5), effective immediately.

Passman has been the station’s assistant news director since August 2015. She succeeds Andrea Parquet-Taylor, who was promoted in July of this year to VP and station manager of KTVT and co-owned KTXA.


“Laurie is a seasoned professional who has demonstrated excellent news judgment and management skills,” said Gary Schneider, station president-GM. “She is an invaluable member of our team, and we’re excited for her to take on this new role.”

Prior to joining KTVT, Passman was assistant news director at KTVK Phoenix. She also previously was news director at KOB-TV Albuquerque.
