What's the deal with Alexandra Cabot (Stephanie March) on Conviction (Law and Order meets Friends)? When she left SVU the feds faked her death and put her in witness protection. Now, she's back in the DA's office as Bureau Chief - and the mob isn't gunning for her? What gives? On Criminal Intent we've got this nasty DA who keeps telling the cops to stop investigating because he's got enough to feed a jury, even if he convicts the wrong guy. On original Law and Order, the 27 takes cases that should go to SVU or major cases (CI). And we've got the Executive Assistant DA (number two in the department) who handles their cases personally - and half the time it turns out the cops got the wrong guy. On SVU and CI, it's almost always the right guy. Maybe the Exec ADA has to take the 27's cases because they screw up so much. And the Exec ADA keeps refusing to obey his bosses orders and keeps his job. Don't you wish real life were more like Law and Order?
