Lazy Savage Gets Lazy Again... Sloppy Taped Interviews Passed Off As Live...

Lazy Savage Gets Lazy Again... Sloppy Taped Interviews Passed Off As Live...

Once again Savage has reverted to taping interviews instead of taking calls or doing live commentary.

These "interviews" are laughable.

These taped interviews consists of the guest basically doing a 15 minute monologue, with Savage interjecting awkward obvious overdubs such as "Oh my God!", "Amazing!", and "Really!". Trying to pass it off as a live interview.

So fake and pathetic and amateurish sounding. Reason # 89 that radio is dying.

Surprised that Cumulus puts up with this slacker.

You're being paid millions to do a talk show Savage.

Do it honorably!

Agreed! I didn't hear this one but I've heard him do it in the past.

In general, talk shows should be 2 hours, not 3. That third hour can be a drag for the host and the audience. Clark Howard recently pared his show from 3 to 2 hours, saying that he was burned out and had developed a bad attitude. He says the shorter show makes all the difference.

Reminds me of "the good old days" in music radio where we did a "Three and Flee" airshift, which became a "Four and Fly". Now it's all VT...

Savage has gotten really lazy since he moved to Cumulus. It is so sad that he has been forced on large stations like WABC and WMAL. Savage's show is only 2 hours, the 3rd is already reruns of previous shows. Two hours and the 71-year-old can't keep up.

Was the faux interview in the 1st or 2nd hour? I believe he used to put that nonsense in the third hour.

Re: Lazy Savage Gets Lazy Again... Sloppy Taped Interviews Passed Off As Live...

I stopped listening to him regularly years ago, but those interviews sound just like George Noory's interviews on C2C where he doesn't say much.

How about Batchelor??? All his interviews sounded caned and he's got about 5 topics they all seem to revolve around!!

Don't know if Batchelor is canned but there is at least a back and forth dialogue between the guest and interviewer.

With Savage, the host is totally disengaged from the interview. It's just a 60 second intro and the guest goes off on a 15 minute monologue.

I don't even care if the interview is taped but there needs to be more interaction.

Don't know why Savage puts out this disjointed crap when, with just a little more effort, he is capable of doing a real smooth flowing interview.

It was in the third hour on the West Coast and I don't listen to Savage that much after he switched to evenings.
When he was with TRN, he worked honestly the first 2 two hours and pulled this crap in the third hour...

Maybe Cumulus doesn't care about the third hour since it's not broadcast in NYC.

Did Michael Savage say somethiing about Mark Levin recently, because Mark was bashing Savage last night?

They are all so jealous of each other it would be laughable were we not talking about alleged adults! Egos!

I hear Hannity and Levin speak highly of each other but I never hear any of them mention Savage.

Why is Savage the black sheep?

Yes Savage can be grumpy, but
Hannity, Levin, and Savage are all on the same station in some cities, so shouldn't they be helping each other out?

Because Savage is a loon. And that's from someone who agrees with him usually. Can't listen to Savage OR Levin.
