LBI has flipped formats in the dallas/ forthworth area. CAsa is now 80% spanish! Brings to mind this question. Doesnt LBI haev an English station on AM here in houston? What will happend with that station, will they get rid of the format and begging a new spanish format on that station?
 
ANd by the way the station on AM here in houston is KSEV-AM

Don't worry, KSEV ain't going anywhere. Don't you just love LMA's

KSEV is keeping it's Talk format. No reggeaton or Tejano showing up there any time soon (yes, we know how badly you are lobbying for these formats).

KZZA in Dallas has just taken a step backward IMO, but it just goes to show you again some of the great business moves from LBI. If it didn't work once, it will work the second time. Are you effn' kidding me? Didn't you try Latin Rhythmic in the beginnig? Try something else. How about something to go against Recuerdo? I know, it's a rimshot, but you'd probably make more money if the station succeeds. I'm not so shure about selling KTCY and KZZA as a combo. But again, just my opinion, take it as you want.
 
Maybe latino2008 can get mrtexmex2007 on the right track with all these changes. He seems to listen to him pretty much :D

ok ok i'll try.... here it goes. Dallas is Dallas and Houston is Houston when LBI makes a format flip in Dallas it normaly in no way has any effect in the Houston market THE END.

And it is LMA'd for a nice piece of change; AM's in Spanish playing music get very old demos, and there are just about no buys against 45+ or 50+ in Spanish.

Remember, Liberman also has an AM in Vietnamese (KRVN) and will will use AMs to pick up easy LMA or brokerage cash.

KRVN??? Never heard of it....They had Radio Saigon on 880 in Conroe...which was KJOJ-AM....did they change the call (to tell the truth I havent kept up with that one for the last couple of years)
Ahh yes, KSEV is LMA for a NICE chunk of change...I have a copy of the monthly charges some where on HD....it was a NICE tidy sum (more in one month than I made in a year)....

DE misspoke. KRVN is the blowtorch 50kw AM in Lexington, Nebraska, whose signal is heard all over the western U.S. at night. The 880 frequency would be the common link with the former Vietnamese language format on KJOJ.

Typo (I am, like 8% of the population, to some degree dyslexic). It should be KVNR, "Viet Nam Radio" on 1480 in Santa Ana, CA. A quick check of the LBI properties would have made that clear.

You know, I'm surprised they haven't put KQUE in the market for LMA. I'm shure KQUE LMA'd would make nice brokered station. Better coverage than 900, 1050, and 1520 into the city should be more attractive to a small organization. But then again, they can't even rent 880 out to anyone yet.

1230 has poooooor coverage at night....daytime aint bad....880 just NEVER was made to be a HOUSTON station...its day pattern at 10KW is looking NW over Lake Conroe (you can hear it in Waco)..NOT down toward Houston..night at 1KW is to the SW through the Woodlands and toward Tomball...again, poor signal toward the heart of Houston (and especially toward the Vietnamese population!! Its a waste of money in the LMA and waste of a AM for Mont Co)
 
The only reason that I never talk back to latino is because he is respectful not like some other people here! Not everybody is disrespectful but some of you are. Especially one person that in my mind is supposed to be professional but is not!

True, but again, which Vietnamese or Oriental station has a great night time signal? Just the fact of it being local shouls be more attractive to some broadcasting groups.

It's not that anyone is trying to be disrespectful to you mrtexmex, but sometimes your posts are tough to follow. Seems that our friend latino2008 has much of the same problem. Thus the association between the two of you. Keep on posting, though. Some of us are having fun just trying to make sense of it all. ;D
