As someone who was around for the illfated Dixon and Miller fiasco and still passes Larry in the halls at Fitzhugh the idea of Larry being someone who could pump up KLUV is rediculous.
Dixon could barley keep up with Julie Deharty let alone Miller, Jim O'Brian and Lt. Dan. Larry is a joke sheet jock who sounds fantastic when he can spend several minutes rehearsing exactly what he's going to say over a 17 second song ramp.
Add interacting with a phone caller or commenting on anything the might require an opinion or reaction to a current event and he wilts.
Larry is a great voice but even on Oasis he sounds out of place, like a couch potatoe who never gets out and has a life worth sharing on the radio. At KLUV this would become even more magnified.
