Read a report on another board that 100.5 in Dothan is no longer playing country, gone to Star 100.5 opened up with Celebration and Black Velvet at noon. Whomever posted in previous threads this would happen deserves a gold star, they predicted correctly. What remains to be seen is if Magic bucks up to the bar with the budget for live staff as The Radio People did for their new station (yeah, I know 105.3 is now sat, but before it had one live and now 93.7 has many more).

One less eating the country pie and going after the less eaten one, WOOF's. Gonna be tough to get a piece of that one.
 
They don't have to take big bites out of WOOF, just a few share points to start. The beauty of this format is that it is so musically driven, that it works with fewer personalities...took me a few years to understand that listeners wanted to hear the music, not my mouth!

I like how it sounds with the upgrade on the siginal..I think it's 25kw...that covers most of the businesses they want as advertisers..

I was impressed with your memory until I found the thread and re-read it and then I understood why you'd have remembered it. I still think that is a great potential new format. 8)
