The Le Bonheur Radiothon on FM100 kicked off this morning and will go till 6pm tonight, then 6am to 6pm tomorrow and 6am to 8am on Friday. Please pop in and listen and give me any feedback you desire! I would love to know how it sounds to everyone. I used to work at FM100 and now Le Bonheur so I'm a bit biased on both ends. I would love to know your thoughts on what sounds good and what sounds bad. Thanks guys!

I'm glad to hear you got your son back! The staff here is so amazing!

So...does anyone have any thoughts to share? Come on, don't be shy! ;D

I may sound like a heel here, but at this point I can't listen to another 'radio-thon' of any sorts. Frankly, I have very little spare cash as it is with the way everything is going up. Yes it's all for a good cause, but if it comes between keeping the car filled and the bills paid - OR - giving to a worthy charity - sadly it's no contest.

With all the choices of radio stations - both terresterial and satelite - I see the days of mega 'radio-thons' going out of favor.

I hope I'm wrong and that it continues to pour money into good causes, but most people I've talked to just change the channel on radio or TV when folks come on asking for donations.

And the government tells us it's NOT a recession? Yeah -- right!!

Yes, and I feel the same way! Those who are able to donate large amounts of money will be able to continue doing so because the economy isn't hurting them on the same level. (If you have a couple grand to spare then I would think you wouldn't be affected the same way as those of us who don't even have a dollar to spare!) But for those of us who would donate say $25 and that's all we could do, can't right now because that is needed for gas, etc. We definitely experienced a decline in calls this year but ended up raising $65,000!
