It was definitely a program. (not a brief interview between songs or anything like that) I find that kind of program offensive enough that the 88.7 button got replaced with something else & haven't listened since.

But on the local scale we always ran Focus On The Family at the Way-Stations at 10:am local time when we had younger housewives and younger office workers in the 18 to 40 group.... I dig Jim and now the new hosts about 85 to 90%, and have seen some bashing of his outfit over conservative views that used to be more mainstay.. No surprise there (with today's pundunts on both ends).... I rarely hear Pat on any Way-Fm.. Last time I heard him on any regularity was in the '88 election cycle when he came to Fort Myers (the only Way at that time)... Always remember...God and those who have any opinion on God or the subject, thereof, will always be the center of debate.... Has been for thousands of years.... I just had lunch with the top Way people while on vacation in Colorado and found the same simple, enjoying life and nothing to hide approach they had when I spent eight years with them in the beginning of the Way-Fm thing..... Bob drives a small compact and Dusty, Lloyd and the gang are just about as everyday in their look as your neighbor... Their board and corporate ethic is one that will focus on the main thing and not some out there theos...... Many different backgrounds from Protestant and Catholic theology have worked and enjoyed their time at Way.... Me, included..... The not so perfect in myself "Skip"

I wonder why WTN doesn’t have any progressive or even main stream talk show hosts? Me thinks Cumulus is showing their corporate political bias?

Did he VOLUNTEER to take a PAY CUT when his show cut by an hour a day, like he has suggested that State Employees, Metro Employees, Federal Employees and UAW Members do?Ladytalk said:I said in my original post that I DO turn him off and never questioned the station's right to have him on. And if he were so popular, they wouldn't have cut his show by an hour for the awful Fred Thompson Show, which, I understand is sponsored by phlegm.

Where that question and comment comes from is the MDG is always advocating the Government Employees (whether it is Federal, State or Local level) and Union workers (especially UAW members) should take pay cuts for the good of the TAX PAYERS and/or the companies they work for, I just thought he would put his MONEY where his MONTH is and set the EXAMPLE and take a pay cut!!!hamiltonsfolly said:jwk1979 said:Did he VOLUNTEER to take a PAY CUT when his show cut by an hour a day, like he has suggested that State Employees, Metro Employees, Federal Employees and UAW Members do?Ladytalk said:I said in my original post that I DO turn him off and never questioned the station's right to have him on. Number one, I can't believe that this thread is still going on and on, it's like the Energizer bunny,.....
and B, 99.7's midday maniac probably did not volunteer that because, if MDJ, who negotiated his own contract, doesn't perform up to the standards set by said contract, he's toast. So, why should he? BTW, where did that question come from anyway?
