*Lee Michaels, onetime program director of WGCI and the former WBMX, has been hired as network program director of Syndication One, a joint venture of Cathy Hughes' Radio One and Tom Joyner's Reach Media. His deal was negotiated by Lonna Saunders.

Michaels most recently has been CEO of CompuOne Network, a Web hosting firm.

I am glad Lee Michaels is back in the radio biz. I feel he was one of the best programmers that was in Chicago. He actually knew facts and figures AND kept his ear to the street with what was going on musicially. Too bad most programmers don't do that these days.

Lee is top notch, and one that believes in the industry.
