Lee Randall & Dave Tucker KFJZ

Great site. Just found it and wanted to give a long over due thanks to Lee & Dave for spending time listening to my airchecks in the early 70s when they worked at KFJZ. These 2 men took the time to give a 20 something year old kid from Wichita Falls advice that helped to me to get better. As I stayed in the business and the years progressed I tried to give a little back to the new guys. Thanks again after all these years.

Does anyone know if they read this board or what they might be doing these days?

Don't know about Lee. Dave's in his 60s now, doing fine after some recurring health issues, living in west Fort Worth and mostly retired these days. He still has those great pipes and does voiceover work at KTVT-TV from time to time (KTVT being, of course, the old KFJZ-TV Ch 11.) We'll do lunch a couple of times a year and maybe take a spin in one of his classic Porsches! Great guy.

Larry Shannon keeps up with quite a few of these folks - especially the KFJZ Bunch since he worked there for several years. Drop him a note at the Radio Daily News web site. He would probably enjoy hearing from you!

Mike:

Thank you for the information. You might let Dave know about this thread. Thanks again.

Jay:

I never met Larry, but I listened to him a lot on KFJZ. Thanks for the info.
