Lee Rodgers Gets Severance, Free To Seek Employment

All Access reports that Lee Rodgers will receive $237,932.69 in severance from KSFO/Citadel, and is now "free to seek and accept employment" elsewhere.

I don't know the specifics..but I imagine he'll have a legitimate place in the list of creditors..since there is a bankruptcy.

Interesting that such an anti union guy went to the Union for help.

Re the snide "anti-union" comment. I am NOT anti-union. I am anti-GOVERNMENT-union, a major factor in the economic problems of the U.S. in general and California in particular.

As for seeking help from AFTRA, I have paid tens of thousands of dollars in dues over decades and in the past served as a shop steward.
I am happy to report that AFTRA's attorneys did an effective job of fulfilling their duty to defend the (contractual) rights of performers.

Hey Lee!I was a big fan and haven't listened to KSFO since you left. Great to see you here I hope you intend to stick around.

Hi Lee,

Good to see you posting here! We have missed hearing your show and hope you do return to the Bay Area airwaves. Kudos to AFTRA for stepping up and doing the right thing.

Please stay in touch and keep us up to date.

The only Talk Stations in San Francisco left for Lee to go to would be either CC's KNEW-910 or KKGN-960.

I appreciate the kind words, but I have no intention of returning to a broadcasting industry run by a few corporate octopi. I had a great run, and I'm content with the results. Annoying deluded Bay Area liberals was a fringe benefit!

I had more fun than should be allowed working in Chicago, Miami and San Francisco, but in today's environment, to paraphrase Willie Nelson, "Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be broadcasters.... "

I thought you were retiring for good, thank you for all you've done and keeping us entertained in the morning. Are you planning to stick around Here?

Actually, as was noted several times in Bay Area papers, I live in the mountains near Tucson, where I relocated eight years ago.
