On shoutcast I have found over times different channels on sirius/xm rebroadcasted for free over shoutcast for nonsubscribers.. Im thinking this may be illegal,, but then again,, if we are subscibing and having to pay 5 bucks for music royalties,, shouldnt that give us the right to program a station from the sirius birds,, same as FM uses like Dial Global...ETC...

Absolutely not! You're not paying for broadcast rights.

True dat... but like I said,, I am not doing it.. I only have Sirius in my car,, I dont have a homekit or boombox, or anyway to get a signal inside if I did... So just to make this clear,,,, I AM NOT and WOuldnt be interested in doing it,,, just wondered of the legality of these unauthorized relays.. In a way its not fair for people to get it free when the rest of us have to pay. But I still think SIRIUS and XM online should be free for all,, and they used to be free on AOL...

The unauthorized relay of Area went away,, a few nights ago I went out and bought a Boombox,, so now I legally have Sirius inside..

It's illegal. Dial Global gives stations the rights to rebroadcast their formats, but Sirius XM doesn't. Well, technically, they do give people the right to rebroadcast their formats on Part 15 FM stations.

It was just a qustion not something I was planning on doing,. Im now fully licensed at 2 grand for a license and 500 a year and DMCA rules,, with 3 streams at multiple bitrates.
