Let's start a list of great call letters that were once "parked" on the FM dial in Florida. Here's my list: Where are they now?

WYNF-Tampa
WDIZ-Orlando
WSHE-Miami/Ft. Lauderdale
WIZD-Ft. Pierce
WGVL-Gainesville
WNFY-Daytona
WNFI-Daytona

More please..... ;D

WYNF-Tampa - now WYNF-AM 1340 Augusta, Georgia
WDIZ-Orlando - now WDIZ-AM 590 Panama City, Florida
WSHE-Miami/Ft. Lauderdale - now WSHE-AM 1270 Columbus, Georgia
WIZD-Ft. Pierce - not assigned
WGVL-Gainesville - now WGVL-AM 1440 Greenville, South Carolina
WNFY-Daytona - not assigned

Don't forget WQSR, the FM out of Sarasota that covered a whole lot of Central Florida. Station at 102.5, is now the Bone in Tampa.

WQSR (Quality Stereo Radio from its beautiful music stereo days) is definately one for the heritage call letter list. Those call letters are now assigned to Clear Channel owned WQSR-FM 102.7 Baltimore, Maryland.

Another set of hetitage call letters are WTMC which were in Ocala since 1939, originally on AM 1500 and later AM 1290. The original WTMC ocala became WCFI (formerly assigned to WJHM 101.9 Daytona Beach) in 1999. WTMC is now assigned to the former WAMS-AM 1380 Wilmington, Deleware and programs travel information and road conditions for the Delaware Department of Transporation.

WORJ-FM 104.5 (LPFM) Weirsdale, Florida (currently off the air)
WRKT-FM 100.9 North East, Pennsylvania
WKKO-FM 99.9 Toledo, Ohio

WWPF-AM 1260 Palatka - now unassigned
WSUZ-AM 800 Palatka - now unassigned

Are there any station in Florida with just 3 call letters? There are still several well known ones out there...here's what I compiled on the East Coast. Many more I'm sure.

WLS-Chicago
WLW-Cincy
WWL-New Orleans
WSB-Atlanta
WBT-Charlotte
WIL-St. Louis
WJZ-Baltimore
WMC-Memphis

There are no three-letter call letter combinations assigned to any Florida stations. However, you did forget to mention WOR New York, WSM Nashville and KFI Los Angeles as part of your above example.

Also don't forget WJR and WWJ in Detroit, KYW in Philly and WHK in Cleveland.
