I'm not a CCM listener myself, but it's nice to see local CCM radio return to Albany... K-Love and Air 1 are satellite networks owned by EMF which is essentially the Clear Channel of Christian radio.

Of course, now we lost Legends 96.7... wonder if TSM or Pamal will step up to the game and flip a station to oldies/classic hits? I wonder if 104.9 The Cat's next format should be oldies myself (but WZMR has like the weakest signal in Albany, WTRY isn't much better but at least gets out pretty far for a directional A... WPTR-FM's is one of the best A's in the market OTOH)

Sad to see the station go. If you want a better oldies fix, you should try WGNY's "Fox Oldies", I'll recommend that. If you are in Albany, you can't pick up "Fox Oldies" on 98.9, depending if you are in the car on I-87 on the Thruway. If you are in the listening area, look at the signal pattern on this link:

That's happens if the station doesn't come out good if you're reach Albany. Only in Hudson and Catskill can pick it up on some areas so that listeners from the loss of "Legends 96.7" would try this out. If not, you should try WCKL for a change. It's on 560 where it now carries the same format as "Legends" and "Fox Oldies" do. WCKL has been on for almost 5 months since it went on the air after the Black United Fund pulled the plug and went dark from 2001 until 2011 and it hasn't been on for 10 years but mostly running some sort of programming from CC and some mess. Now it's back on the air as "Family 560" and running an oldies station, if you want your oldies fix, WCKL is the place to be. I found a link to see how WCKL picks up right where they left off.

If you are listening to WCKL at night, that's fine.
